About Grip
Grip is a dutch startup based in Amsterdam that gives anyone with ovaries insight into their hormonal health and (future) fertility, through a simple at-home blood test.
Roles and responsibilities

As a Grip UX/UI intern I worked with Product and Marketing teams doing research, interviewing customers, creating prototypes and wireframes, and implementing them using Wix.

I was the owner of Grip’s websites heygrip.com and heygrip.co.uk, landing pages and e-commerce, and as such I was in charge of providing a great user experience to our customers, monitoring Google Analytics, and Hotjar, and keeping the site running smoothly in order to maximize conversion rates and minimize bounce rates.

During my internship, we managed to grow our sales 10% every month, and the purchase conversion rate never went below 1%.

Extended our design system with multiple components like cards, navbars, footers, etc.

Before a design system was introduced, our website was built by the founders using a Wix template. As part of my internship, I reconciled the website look-and-feel with our design system and redesigned 80% of all the pages.

Since 90% of Grip’s customers used the website on mobile, I prototyped and designed it with a mobile-first mentality, but also making sure that the result was compatible with desktop.

Worked directly with the Marketing and Growth team, to make sure we have a consistent visual style across our website and social media.

As I’m passionate about illustration, I also contributed some illustrations for our website and social media.
